An intricately carved Balinese wooden sculpture depicting Wilmana, the mythical flying mount associated with Ravana, the demon king in the Hindu epic Ramayana. Featuring bulging eyes, prominent fangs, an elaborate crown, and expansive wings, the figure showcases the expressive artistry of traditional Balinese woodcarving. Traces of red and ochre pigments remain across its aged surface, highlighting the original decorative details.

Created as a keris holder, the sculpture combines practical function with mythological symbolism. Wilmana’s supernatural form evokes power and flight, while the keris itself holds deep cultural significance in Indonesia, representing identity, heritage, and spiritual tradition. The piece retains its aged patina, with minor cracks and surface scrapes consistent with age, while remaining in solid overall condition.
