Antique Chinese Terracotta Jar (unglazed)
Late 17th Century
Height 42cm x Diameter 37cm
Once used to hold rice stockpiles, this unglazed terracotta jar is distinguished by its exterior's incised pattern. Using a simple forked tool, the potter layered the vessel with dense etchings to enliven the visual rhythm and all-over texture.
Product colours may slightly vary due to photographic lighting sources or your screen settings. Many products are handcarfted and handfinishes, so variations in colour, texture and finish to be expected.
