Terracotta temple architectural ornament mounted on a teak wood stand, featuring a Buddha head in the centre.
This piece of historical art was discovered in the early 90s in Secang Village, located in the Magelang Province of Central Java, by a local farmer tending to his land.
In close proximity to the spot it was found, there are remnants of a terracotta temple, known as Candi Retno, believed to have been constructed around the 8th to 9th century.
