Balinese Mid-century Art Deco Bookends
Height 30cm x Length 13cm x Width 10cm
Bali Art Deco bookends, depicting a Balinese couple, hand-carved in the 1960s. They are mirrored in perfect symmetry to each other in terms of posture.
The woman is meticulously detailed, with thin lines representing strands of hair. She wears a flower in her hair, along with Subeng earrings, and is dressed in a traditional kain or sarong.
The man, also dressed in a traditional kain, wears an 'udeng' headdress.
These bookends don’t just secure books; they serve as timeless decorative pieces.
The price includes packing and shipping to Bali, Jawa and neighboring islands.
These items are vintage or antiques and a lot of them are handcrafted so variations in colour, texture are to be expected - there may also be signs of use, age and other small defects.
Product colours may vary slightly due to photographic lighting sources or screen settings.
